Looking for privacy and
relaxation high in the mountains of North Carolina? This 3
bedroom, 2 bath mountain vacation cabin will fill the bill.
Nestled high among trees and massive boulder formations,
Mountain High can accommodate up to ten guests. At the cool
elevation of 3,700 feet, the cabin is just 50 miles northeast of
Asheville and located in the majestic Black Mountains, near Mt.
Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi. Mountain
High is secluded, but not remote, and easily accessible using
good, county maintained roads.
This cabin is a true wilderness cabin with all the comforts of
home and can accommodate up to 10 guests. It is professionally
decorated in a wilderness motif utilizing bear, horses and
reindeer themes. The master bedroom, the Bear Room, is furnished
with an elevated king size English Pine four poster bed. The
second bedroom, The Deer Room has a queen bed and the third
bedroom, the Cub's Room, has bunk beds. The 3 bedrooms and the
queen size sleeper sofa in the Sun/Game Room can comfortably
accommodate 8 guests. (Third bedroom not pictured). There is also an inflatable mattress that
you can use if your party exceeds 8 guests. All the beds have
pillows and there are plenty of blankets and comforters. All bed
and bath linens are provided.
Mountain High features a long distance view of the mountains
from its roomy wraparound deck. The cabin has a spacious living
room, sun/game room, stone hearth fireplace for those cool
mountain nights and outside dining on the deck. Want a campfire,
or to cook a meal outdoors? The cabin has an open natural rock
barbecue pit, as well as a gas grill, on a stone patio off the
back deck.
Amenities include cable TV, VCR, washer/dryer, dishwasher,
electric heat, and microwave. It is also completely furnished
with all the cooking utensils and dinnerware you may need. Just
bring your food and clothes. All this and refreshing, ice cold
mountain spring water too!
